Our fantastic Scottish breakfasts are supplied from award winning local butchers. You must try our special scrambled free range eggs served with Scottish smoked salmon. A bowl of porridge followed by our full Scottish Highland Breakfast will definitely set you up for the day.
Taste Our Best
Here at Ardconnel House we take pride in using quality produce and showcasing some of the best local and Scottish Food producers in the food we prepare. Scotland’s food and drink comes from unspoilt habitats and varied weather, which are perfect for producing a wide variety of high quality fresh fruit and vegetables, fish, meat and much more. We are delighted to have achieved VisitScotland’s Taste Our Best accreditation as recognition of our sourcing policy and the quality food and drink we provide. Below is a summary of the provenance of the produce used in our menus, where possible and in season.
MEAT: All of our meat is Scottish sourced locally from both Cairngorm Butchers and Grants of Speyside (bacon, sausage, haggis & black pudding) whose meat comes from local highland farms.
SEAFOOD: We use Scottish Smoked salmon from Shetland.
FRUIT & VEGETABLES: In the summer months we serve seasonal strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and blaeberries grown on local Speyside farms.
DAIRY: We use free range eggs from Scottish farms and our milk and butter is also produced in Scotland.
OTHER: Our Scottish porridge is freshly made using Scotts porridge oats, Stirling.
